A former Police Chief Superintendent with over 30 years’ experience. Matthew led the UK’s largest Anti-Corruption and Professional Standards unit out of New Scotland Yard, Metropolitan Police, London for five years. Within this role he presented and advised on anti-corruption to government officials from Albania, Ukraine, Georgia, Sweden, Peru, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Ireland & Malaysia. UK National Police Chief’s Council representative on Professional Standards, Anti-Corruption and Ethics, a member of the UK Government’s Steering Group on legislative guidance on Police Reform and the National Designing out Crime police lead for the UK.
International - A current evaluator for the Council of Europe’s GRECO (Group of States against Corruption) which monitors anti-corruption, governance and legislation transparency of 50 member-states, from 49 European countries and the USA. International police lead for Curbing Corruption and key note speaker for EPAC (European Partners Against Corruption) since 2017.
Matthew operates at the senior executive level and has proven experience in leading complex organisational change, operations and performance delivery at the strategic level, within public law enforcement, overseas government, private and voluntary organisations.
